Water Analytics

Water Analytics

Water analytics is a very prominent, but also a very challenging field within modern analytics. Water analytics generally relates to parameters such as pH, conductivity, hardness, total dissolved salts (TDS), ammonia (NH4+), nitrate (NO3-), phosphate (PO43-) and total phosphorus (TP), chloride, or dissolved oxygen. In addition, it also addresses certain sum parameters such as chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD5) and total organic carbon (TOC). TOC in particular and, more recently, the new parameter microplastics are attracting growing attention.

Worldwide, the demand for advanced solutions for water analytics has increased tremendously. The underlying trend is the growing scarcity of water and the intensifying competition between the various water users. Water is mainly used in agriculture and households, but industry is also constantly increasing its water consumption. As a result, the demand for state-of-the-art analytical solutions for monitoring and controlling water is increasing. HORIBA Tocadero strives for a leading position in the field of advanced water analytics, focusing on both industrial process analytics and environmental monitoring.
